About JoCo Blotter

JoCo Blotter is an independent, non-commercial dashboard that republishes publicly available police incident data from Johnson County, Kansas law enforcement agencies. This site shows reported incidents, not confirmed crimes or convictions.

Data is fetched daily from the Kansas Open Data Portal and covers Olathe PD, Overland Park PD, Leawood PD, Lenexa PD, Shawnee PD, and Johnson County Sheriff's Office.

Data sources

Registered Offenders — The Offenders page displays records from the Johnson County Sheriff's public offender registry (ims.jocogov.org), refreshed daily. Included are individuals registered for sex, violent, and drug offenses. Addresses are public record under Kansas law. Dates of birth are intentionally not shown; age is displayed instead. The page is not indexed by search engines. Photos are mirrored from the source registry.
